20/08/2007 Independent Long Island (ILI) is founded by Tallini with the writing of a press release. The news was first published in Cyberterra News and The DBWF Provisional Post on 21 August 2007, and later published in Indymedia (English, Italian), Long Island FREE Press, OpenPR.com, PR.com and by others.
06/09/2007 LI Biz Blog, the Long Island Business News blog, publishes "Independent Long Island ... whatever that means"
22/09/2007 The New York Times publishes the "What Has the Hamptons, 4 Airports and a Hankering for Independence?" article about ILI.
22/09/2007 Sophia Hall interviews Tallini over the phone, and the news of the birth of the new country of ILI is mentioned briefly on WCBS Newsradio 880, flagship radio station of the CBS Radio Network.
29/09/2007 The "Independent Long Island (ILI) Project Now Accepts '51st State' Scenario" press release is published through PR.com.
07/10/2007 After re-baptizing the country of Myanmar with the name of Burma, and registering the Burma Internet Liberation Organisation (BILO) and the Burmese Network Information Centre (BNIC) organizations, Tallini creates a new .BU TLD, and declares war on Myanmar by "invading" its Internet!
08/10/2007 The openPR.com press release of the Burma story is published, and the news becomes a feature of Google News.
27/10/2007 The Micronational Professional Registry (openPR.com press release) warns for the first time all internationally recognised and even unrecognised nations of the terrorist nation of EnenKio and its representatives. This is the first successful attempt to prosecute a micronation for violating Print Monopoly (PM) standards. EnenKio is also the first nation to end on the list of Certified Terrorist Nations(εν).
06/11/2007 In a post issued by Dr. Joe Baptista, Representative of the PublicRoot Consortium, several Cesidian Root TLDs (.amore, .baron, .pic, .university, .ili, and .bu) were granted an extraordinary level of legitimacy.
29/11/2007 Prince D. Renato Barros, sovereign of the Principality of the Pontinha, formally announces (openPR.com press release) the secession of the Principality from Portugal. The Governor of ILI assisted the Principality of the Pontinha in its secession from Portugal.
13/12/2007 After urging support for the canonization of Descartes or Cartesius in November, the Bishop of the Cesidian Church consecrates Descartes (openPR.com press release) as the church's first saint after a canonization process.
21/12/2007 After a majority voted in favor of full secession from the United States, Independent Long Island (ILI) starts contemplating (openPR.com press release) on whether to join the Commonwealth.
29/12/2007 The Most Rev Dr Cesidio Tallini is welcomed as a new member of the United Commonwealth Society (UCS).
31/12/2007 The Imperial News Service reports that negotiations between the governments of Independent Long Island and the Imperium of DeWaCo Estates have reached their conclusion. The Imperium of DeWaCo Estates officially assigns a non-staffed Official Office Embassy for the Independent Long Island government within the Diplomatic District of Imperial City, Capital of the Imperial Commonwealth of the Imperium of DeWaCo Estates.
03/01/2008 The International President of the United Commonwealth Society (UCS) writes an email to the Governor of Independent Long Island proclaiming full membership in the United Commonwealth Society (UCS), and full diplomatic recognition to Independent Long Island. The Governor of Independent Long Island is also granted voting membership as representative of his country on the UCS Executive Council. A few weeks later, however, the Governor of ILI is told that the title was never legally granted in the first place. The truth, however, was stranger than the fiction: the International President of the UCS did have the legitimate authority, because he had the executive power to bring in new representatives and new countries. All of a sudden, however, those powers were arbitrarily snatched away from him when he brought in a new "micronation" into the society. Clearly a new, more decent, and more inclusive Commonwealth society was needed.
19/01/2008 The www.ummoa and www.amomu domains came alive in the Cesidian Root, and with them the Governor of ILI founds the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA). Independent Long Island also becomes a Founding Member of UMMOA, the international organisation.
07/02/2008 In the early hours of the morning, with the first New Moon in February, as well as the beginning of the Chinese New Year of the Rat, the Commonwealth Nations Research Society (CNRS) is born, and the Governor of Independent Long Island becomes a Founding Member of the CNRS International Committee.
11/03/2008 ILINation Info, a website about all things Independent Long Island, and Corporations Independent Long Island (CILI), an agency of ILI registered professionals, corporations, and ILI recognised nations (de jure), are founded.
18/03/2008 The Live Nations international organisation is born, and Independent Long Island becomes a Founding Member.
06/05/2008 With Cesidian Root officers Tallini invades the .UM ccTLD in the Cesidian Root, i.e. United States namespace, and legally annexes the United States Minor Outlying Islands, and renames the islands the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago or UMMOA (openPR.com press release).
22/07/2008 The Supreme Council of the Presidency of the International States Parliament for Safety and Peace (ISPSP), New Society of the Nations, with the approval of His Excellency The Lord President, Monsignor Senator Viktor Busà, grants Accreditation and Official Status of Incorporation to the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago (UMMOA), also known as the Arcipelago Multioceanico delle Micronazioni Unite (AMOMU), with seat in the Caribbean Sea. The document states that the Official Parliamentary Decree of Incorporation and Aggregation granted to UMMOA/AMOMU (Caribbean Sea) bears full validity and recognition with all Governments and Nations members of the International States Parliament for Safety and Peace, New Society of the Nations, under International Law Statutes, as recognized by the Vienna Convention of 18 April 1961 (1963). The document also states that said Corporation of the United Micronations Multi-Oceanic Archipelago/Arcipelago Multioceanico delle Micronazioni Unite, is now organised under Law of the International States Parliament for Safety and Peace, New Society of the Nations, in relation to Art. XXXIV of the Constitutional Charter.
02/09/2008 The Supreme Council of the Presidency of the International States Parliament for Safety and Peace (ISPSP), New Society of the Nations has (1) approved Tallini's election as Deputy Member of the National Assembly (US Parliamentary Group); and (2) approved Tallini's Institutional Nomination as Diplomatic Counsellor to the Presidency for International Relations. Said nominations are valid under International Law and under the Vienna Convention of April 18th, 1961 (1963).
10/09/2008 His Beatitude Archbishop Viktor Busà, Lord President of the International States Parliament for Safety and Peace (ISPSP), New Society of the Nations, Commissions the Hon Most Rev Dr Cesidio Tallini as Diplomatic Counsellor to the Presidency for International Relations, and Deputy Member of the National Assembly (US Parliamentary Group).
24/09/2008 The Hon Most Rev Dr Cesidio Tallini, Diplomatic Counsellor to the Presidency of the ISPSP for International Relations, and Deputy Member of the National Assembly (US Parliamentary Group), is issued his first Diplomatic Passport from the International States Parliament for Safety and Peace (ISPSP).
25/09/2008 The book, A history of the future: Independent Long Island, is published.
28/01/2009 The Governor of ILI founds the Trade Workers Registry (TWR) with Dr. Joe Warner.
01/04/2009 The Kingdom of Pictland, an historic Fourth World nation with over 1,000,000 active citizens on several continents, formally recognises Independent Long Island.
20/04/2009 The Brooklyn Mail service is launched.
27/04/2009 Independent Long Island's first municipal corporation is born: Jamaica Square.
01/05/2009 The Independent Long Island movement and its leader are mentioned in the article, Trying Again and Again to Secede in the New York Times.
